Mare-Longue/Saint Philippe
Today the newspaper annonced high waves till 8-9 m. So we thought directly of going to the Cap Méchant, as it is the most impressive place when there are waves. We stopped then at Cap Méchant, to watch the waves crashing on the volcanic wall. And by watching too close, we did not see the one, which was a little bit higher than the other ones, and we've got wet from top to down. The water is a little bit cold, but no problem, it's drying fast.
To warm again, we went to walk in the forest of Mare-Longue (2:00). It's a nice, easy walk on three different botanic paths. It going a little up, but nothing compare to yesterday. Just as we were arriving at the highest point of the walk, we heard something strange: The rain coming closer! The time to take out the raintcoat, we have got our 2nd shower of the day. But it does not matter as it is drying fast ...
After this short walk, Salade with grilled chicken at La Mer Cassée in Saint-Philippe with a nice view on the incoming waves. It was too good.
On the way back to the bungalows, we did some stops to watch the waves and we have got some traffic jam which we were almost missing since we arrived on the island.
