Le Dimitile

Aujourd'hui, c'est la journée du mot impressionnant.

Le petit déjeuner, sur la terrasse près de la piscine, tout fait maison (la confiture de banane et d'ananas, le yaourt à la vanille, le gateau à la vanille, etc ... ), était impressionnant.

La montée en 4x4 au Dimitile était impressionnante, heureusement, que je ne devais pas rouler, car je n'aurais pas réussi. C'est pas une route, mais un chemin fait de terre, de boue et de gros cailloux/rochers, et la falaise d'un côté et le vide de l'autre.


Today is the day of the word impressive.


The breakfast on the terrace beside the swimming pool, all home made (banana and ananas jam, vanille cake, vanille yogourt and so on ...) was impressive.


Driving up with the 4x4 to the Dimitile, was impressive. By chance I did not have to drive, because I believe I would not have succeed. It's not a road, but a path with ground, grunge, big stones or even rocks, and the cliff on one side and nothing on the other side.

We had an impressive view on Cilaos and down to the sea from the top of the Dimitile.

Impressive history of the slavery and of the slaves fled to the mountain to get a little bit of freedom; explained by the Captain Dimitile group (derived from the name of a slave).


Impressionnant le gars qui garde le camp marron, une reconstitution d'un camp, tel que les esclaves fuyant dans les montagnes avaient pour vivre, qui est hyper passionnant quand il parle de son ile, des créoles, des esclaves, etc ...

Impressive also the guy keeping the "camp marron", a reconstitution  of a refugee camp, that they had when they were running away from their masters.  This guy was extremly interesting when he was speaking about his island, about the creole language, about the slavery and so on...

Impressionnant, le trajet retour en 4x4, où j'ai failli arraché la poignet de la porte à force de m'y aggriper.

Impressive the way back down with the 4x4: I almost destroy the handle of the car door as I was holding it so strong when the car was moving from right to left or the other way around.
